Click-to-call (WebRTC)

Click-to-call adds a call button to your web page or mobile application. Users select the button to talk to your bot directly from their browser or app. They don't need to dial a phone number or install additional software.

Click-to-call uses WebRTC, with Live Hub acting as a gateway between the WebRTC client and the SIP network. In the portal, click-to-call is not a separate channel. Instead, create a SIP connection and set Provider type to Client Applications.

Set up Click-to-call

  1. Configure Click-to-call on Live Hub — Create the SIP connection.
  2. Add Click-to-call to your web page or app — Embed the widget, or build on one of the SDKs.
  3. Secure Click-to-call with authentication codes — Protect each call with a short-lived code. This is the recommended option.
  4. Test Click-to-call — Place a test call from the portal.
